Well, what do you think about an ideal teacher? What in your view how should be an ideal teacher? What does an ideal teacher do? Absolutely, the first thing in our mind an ideal teacher is a good instructor. An ideal teacher is a hero in education world, but just certain of them I think.

Based on some literatures that I have ever read about teacher world in education, I found that most of them (good teachers) use data to drive instruction, know the ins and outs of their curriculum, have refined assessments over and over until they measure depth of content knowledge and not procedural knowledge or some crazy game of remember what the teacher said, or guess what the teacher’s thinking. They support students in self-directed learning, know how technology actually improves learning, and exude a charisma that makes students eager to learn from them.

For me, a good teacher is a great instructor and a great mentor. A great instructor is somebody who can communicate the material clearly, in a way that it makes sense. Furthermore, he or she also makes an effort to spike interest in learners by using various methods, for example, by demonstrating the relevance of the material in everyday life or posing perplexing questions. This aspect is particularly important for students who are starting out with learning something new. More specifically, at an early stage of the journey, one might not be aware of the relevance of the subject matter nor has he developed effective learning strategies that are suitable the subject. Thus, sufficient guidance is vital.

However, being a great instructor does not make one necessarily a great teachers; one also needs to serve as a great mentor. A great mentor approaches students individually and finds a way to challenge every student based on their capabilities and level of knowledge. In other words, a mentor gives a student time to construct his own knowledge and provides assistance and scaffolding only when it’s necessary.
Being a good teacher can be the most rewarding and exciting job in the world. However, being a teacher who doesn't work effectively can be stressful, painful, and exhausting. Once again, teacher is not just transfer their knowledge, but there are some important thing except that the teacher must to do. Here are some great tips to being the best teacher you can be which I have done summarize in some source.
  1. Act like a hero. An ideal teacher should be a good example for their students. The students will look up to you and will thus try to follow.
  2. Be compassionate. Great educators form strong relationships with their students and show that they care about them as people. They are warm, accessible, enthusiastic and caring.
  3. Act as a mediator to make sure that the rules decided upon are appropriate. Some may be, for instance, be quiet when the teacher is talking, respect each other, and finish the homework and class work.
  4. Never let your students down when they come to you with their problems. Even if the problems are out of syllabus, try to help the student by using the Internet or library. It would gain both of you some knowledge.

OK, I am looking forward above post is useful for all who need. Good luck!
